The greater portion of the security for these loans having been adjudged the roperty of Patiala, the Committee has been unable to liquidate the claims for ant of funds. 6. Regarding the Bank of Upper India Claim it may be noted that the intert is at 10 per cent per annum and now greatly excceds the capital amount. This interest therefore largely accounts for the deficit slown below. 9. Expenses in connection with the sale of assets inclusive of all commis. sions, insurance, &c., annount to Rs. 1,71,145, or 5% per Expenses cent on gross realisations. All other charges including stablishment, contingencies, transport of jewels, Accountant's charges, &c., mount to Rs. 14,843 or one-half per cent. The total expenses in connection with the work done to date is therefore only 6 per cent of the gross value of the estate. 10. Appendix A gives the results of the investigation into each claim and slows the amounts paid. Appendix B is an abstract of Appendix A. Appendices C-I, C-II, C-III, C-IV, D and E give the details of each sale, and show the price realised for each article. Appendix F is an abstract of the Committee's Cash Account showing that out of a total of Rs. 47,67,691, Rs. 30,90,619 have buen realised from assets and Rs. 10,56,080 by loans, Rs 20,990 are refunds or cross entries. Of the above total, Rs 20,64,242 has been paid in satisfaction of clnims, Rs. 1,85,989 in expenses and Rs. 18,98,954 in liquidntion of loan accounts and 12 interest thereon. The balance in the hands of the Committee amounts to Rs. 18,504. 11. Appendix G gives the remaining liabilitics of the estate. They are Rs.
