करस्याङ्गुष्ठे या धमनी सा जीवसाक्षिणी जीवोऽस्ति नो वेति बोधनी ज्ञेया ॥ (१।०)

karasyāṅguṣṭhe yā dhamanī sā jīvasākṣiṇī jīvo'sti no veti bodhanī jñeyā ||

बुधैस् तच्चेष्टया मन्दस्थिरचलगामिन्या कायस्य देहस्य सुखं दुःखं च ज्ञेयम् ॥ (२।०)
