jāraṇātrayamāha grāsasyeti ||

ग्रासस्य ग्रासयोग्यस्य स्वर्णादेरित्यर्थं चारणं रसान्तः क्षेपणं गर्भे द्रावणं रसान्तः तरलीभवनं जारणं विडयन्त्रादियोगेन द्रवीभूतग्रासस्य पाकः ॥ (२।०)

grāsasya grāsayogyasya svarṇāderityarthaṃ cāraṇaṃ rasāntaḥ kṣepaṇaṃ garbhe drāvaṇaṃ rasāntaḥ taralībhavanaṃ jāraṇaṃ viḍayantrādiyogena dravībhūtagrāsasya pākaḥ ||
