nālikāyantramāha loheti ||

लौहमयनालमध्ये पारदम् आपूर्य छिद्ररोधं कृत्वा च लवणपूरितभाण्डान्तः नालं तं निरुन्ध्यात्ततो मणिकया भाण्डवक्त्रम् आच्छाद्य आलिप्य च सन्धिं तावत् पचेत् यावत् शरावोपरिस्थं तृणं न दहेत् इति ॥ (२।०)

lauhamayanālamadhye pāradam āpūrya chidrarodhaṃ kṛtvā ca lavaṇapūritabhāṇḍāntaḥ nālaṃ taṃ nirundhyāttato maṇikayā bhāṇḍavaktram ācchādya ālipya ca sandhiṃ tāvat pacet yāvat śarāvoparisthaṃ tṛṇaṃ na dahet iti ||
