ग्राह्याणामर्थानां शब्दादीनां येयं प्रसिद्धिः तया च श्रोत्रादीनां करणानाम् अनया इन्द्रियार्थप्रसिद्ध्या एभ्यो ग्राह्यग्रहणेभ्य इन्द्रियार्थेभ्यः परो ग्रहीता आत्मा अनुमीयते ॥ (१।०)

grāhyāṇāmarthānāṃ śabdādīnāṃ yeyaṃ prasiddhiḥ tayā ca śrotrādīnāṃ karaṇānām anayā indriyārthaprasiddhyā ebhyo grāhyagrahaṇebhya indriyārthebhyaḥ paro grahītā ātmā anumīyate ||
