यत एव परमेश्वरस्य कृतिर्वेदादौ वाक्यपदरचनातो ऽयं स्मार्तो ऽपि दानादिविधिस् तदीयम् आम्नायम् अनन्तशाखाभिन्नम् आलोच्य संक्षेपमनुमन्यमानानां भृगुप्रभृतीनां बुद्धिपूर्वः ॥ (१।०)

yata eva parameśvarasya kṛtirvedādau vākyapadaracanāto 'yaṃ smārto 'pi dānādividhis tadīyam āmnāyam anantaśākhābhinnam ālocya saṃkṣepamanumanyamānānāṃ bhṛguprabhṛtīnāṃ buddhipūrvaḥ ||
