upalabdhyanupalabdhī mahattvāṇutvavat ||

कारणमहत्त्वादिभ्यश्च जायते दीर्घत्वम् विपरीतं ह्रस्वत्वम् तस्मिन् विशेषभावादित्यौपचारिकत्वं तथैव ॥ (२।०)

kāraṇamahattvādibhyaśca jāyate dīrghatvam viparītaṃ hrasvatvam tasmin viśeṣabhāvādityaupacārikatvaṃ tathaiva ||
