प्राणादीनां निर्निमित्तानां सुखादीनां चानाश्रितानामनुत्पत्तिः अत एषां केनापि निमित्तेनाश्रयेण भाव्यम् इत्यतोऽपि सामान्यतोदृष्टाद् आकाशादीनाम् अनिरासाद् अविशेषः तेषामपि हेतुत्वसम्भवात् ॥ (१।०)

prāṇādīnāṃ nirnimittānāṃ sukhādīnāṃ cānāśritānāmanutpattiḥ ata eṣāṃ kenāpi nimittenāśrayeṇa bhāvyam ityato'pi sāmānyatodṛṣṭād ākāśādīnām anirāsād aviśeṣaḥ teṣāmapi hetutvasambhavāt ||
