न प्रयत्नव्यतिरेकी यमः प्रयत्नाभावे सर्वस्याः क्रियाया अभावाद् विद्यते शुचिम् आहारम् उपयुञ्जानस्य प्रयत्नः ॥ (१।०)

na prayatnavyatirekī yamaḥ prayatnābhāve sarvasyāḥ kriyāyā abhāvād vidyate śucim āhāram upayuñjānasya prayatnaḥ ||

यदि प्रयत्नः प्रधानम् विनापि योगादिनाभ्युदयः स्यात् ॥ (२।०)

yadi prayatnaḥ pradhānam vināpi yogādinābhyudayaḥ syāt ||
