यत इन्द्रियसन्निकर्षेण ज्ञाननिष्पत्तिरुक्ता गुणादीनां चेन्द्रियेण सन्निकर्षो नास्तीत्यतस्त्विदानीं ज्ञानमुच्यते तेषाम् असंनिकर्षे विज्ञानं यतः ॥ (१।०)

yata indriyasannikarṣeṇa jñānaniṣpattiruktā guṇādīnāṃ cendriyeṇa sannikarṣo nāstītyatastvidānīṃ jñānamucyate teṣām asaṃnikarṣe vijñānaṃ yataḥ ||
