आहृत्य विषयेभ्य इन्द्रियाणि तेभ्यश्च मन आत्मन्येव यदा समाधीयते तदा योगजधर्मापेक्षाद् आत्मान्तःकरणसंयोगाद् विशिष्टात्तत्रभवतां स्वस्मिन्नात्मनि ज्ञानं प्रत्यक्षम् उत्पद्यते ॥ (१।०)

āhṛtya viṣayebhya indriyāṇi tebhyaśca mana ātmanyeva yadā samādhīyate tadā yogajadharmāpekṣād ātmāntaḥkaraṇasaṃyogād viśiṣṭāttatrabhavatāṃ svasminnātmani jñānaṃ pratyakṣam utpadyate ||
