जाठरेणौदर्येण अग्निना योगात् संश्लेषात् यत् रसानां परिणामान्ते जरणनिष्ठाकाले रसान्तरं रसविशेषः उदेत्युत्पद्यते स विपाक इति स्मृतो मुनिभिः कथितः ॥ (१।१)

jāṭhareṇaudaryeṇa agninā yogāt saṃśleṣāt yat rasānāṃ pariṇāmānte jaraṇaniṣṭhākāle rasāntaraṃ rasaviśeṣaḥ udetyutpadyate sa vipāka iti smṛto munibhiḥ kathitaḥ ||
