yad anuktaṃ tat prakīrṇakam ||

प्रकीर्णपातके ज्ञात्वा गुरुत्वम् अथ लाघवम् । (२।१)

prakīrṇapātake jñātvā gurutvam atha lāghavam |

प्रायश्चित्तं बुधः कुर्याद् ब्राह्मणानुमतो यथा ॥ (२।२)

prāyaścittaṃ budhaḥ kuryād brāhmaṇānumato yathā ||
